1.      Drink Lots and Lots of Water

Drink at least one, but preferably two, 8 ounce glasses of water before each meal and whenever you feel hungry.  Water is calorie free and it is filling, so you will find yourself being satisfied with less food after drinking it.  This method has proven to cut belly fat fast.  Up your water intake as outlined for a couple of weeks, and you will see significant results.

2.      Fiber is Your Friend

Breakfast time and, from this meal on, eat foods that will encourage your stomach to flatten.  Choose foods that contain both insoluble and soluble fiber.  Fiber is filling, it helps with digestion and it cleans out the intestines, eliminating any blockages which might be the cause of your protruding belly.

3.      Sodium is Sin

4.      Fruits are Friends

5.      Exercise Your Core

As mentioned earlier, balancing healthy nutrition and exercise is crucial for the diet to lose belly fat to work.  Do exercises such as sit-ups, crunches, planks and leg raises (for the lower portion of your stomach) regularly.   These will speed up the process of eliminating your unwanted belly fat.
